In no particular order:
1. Getting to hear the testimonies of so many young people (ages 14-18) at youth conference. I always love to hear a young man or young woman bear his or her testimony. They are so strong and so good...such beautiful children of God. I love that at such a time when a guy probably least wants to be caught tearing up (his teenage years), a young man will stand with his heart so full of love for the Savior and His Gospel that he will get choked up. What a beautiful sight.
2. Learning the following truth from EFY speaker Dwight Durrant: he said the ultimate test of spirituality does not come down to whether or not we read our scriptures, say our prayers, or attend church, but the ultimate test of spirituality and the test of what shows if we are coming unto Christ comes in the way we treat others.
3. That everyone was so kind and helpful and offered to help me as I lugged Boo Boo and his stuff around the church today.
4. Boo Boo's outfit! Didn't he look so handsome?!
5. That Stace somehow replaced the fire alarm battery before I got home. The fire alarm is about 30 feet from the ground and we don't have a ladder! When asked how he did it, he said he simply flew. Of course; silly me. :)
6. Getting a call from the Savages asking us out for dinner tonight. We love the Savages!
7. Getting to see my sweet friend & old visiting teaching companion (from Gainesville 2nd ward) Kim Rivet and finding out she just received her mission call! (She just joined the church 13 months ago.) And also getting to see sweet Sister Haddock, Kim and I's old visiting teachee. I love them both so much.
8. Going to Babies 'R Us with Stace and Boo Boo armed with a $5 off coupon and a gift card! We got him a booster seat and a new piano/ xylophone toy and getting up to the register and hearing the gift card covered the total purchase:)
9. Stace as we walked by the toddler beds: "we'll need to get Boo Boo a bed."
Kim: "oh don't worry: his crib converts to a bed!" (I said this quite proudly too, thinking he would be happy to hear there was one less thing we'd need to buy.)
Stace: "oh but we will have another baby by then." :D Oh, how I hope...
10. Stace cleaned the kitchen
and one more for funsies!
