We woke up and celebrated with a few gifts before Daddy headed off to work!
I found him a sweet Superman t-shirt that looks vintage-ey at Target. I am told he used to run around in a Superman outfit as a little boy all the time. :)
There have been many days where my busy husband simply runs out of time to go to the gym, and he still wants to work out even when he gets home late. So a jump rope seemed like a good gift for days like those! He has had the same running shoes since my mom bought him a pair as a gift during our first year of marriage, so he wanted new sneakers for his birthday, and he picked those out later that day!
That night we went on a hot date to a crazy burger place that Stace had a Groupon to. (Don't end a sentence with a preposition...ah!) We then went to use our TCBY Groupon to try and get some nice, light ice cream but it was closed?! What in the world?! So then we went to Coldstone, and they wouldn't take Stace's birthday coupon (talk about party poopers!)...so we decided we didn't really want ice cream anyway, and headed back to see our sweet sleeping kiddos.
I invited some of Stace's good friends to a little get-together this past Saturday to extend his birthday celebration! Here is Stace with Chris, he is our ward Young Men president and is a great guy and friend.
Below are three sweet ladies, Amelia, Callie (Chris' wife) and Caitlin. All three of these girls are some of my favorite people...where in the world are my other girlfriends in this picture who were there?! Callie asked a blessing on the food before we ate and said the sweetest prayer of thanks for Stace and for his influence in our lives. It was so sweet. :)
Being that we held a garage sale earlier this day, baking a fun cake (and here) was unfortunately not on the menu for the day (maybe he'll get one for our anniversary later this month:) Instead, we went to the amazing Publix and Stace chose a birthday cake that reflects his Southern roots: Caramel Pecan Cake. I didn't have it because I was too busy downing the Publix carrot cake the Glenns brought! Rachel knows the way to my heart.
Here everyone is singing Happy Birthday to Stace...
Julian and his BFF TJ!
I wish I could find the picture we have of everyone who was there, but I can't find it on my computer:(
Lucky for us, the Talbots were passing through Gainesville on their way down South and so they got to come celebrate with us! After the pool party, they came over to see our new trampoline that our friends gave us the day after Stace's birthday! We are working on getting an enclosure because we know how dangerous they can be, but goodness! It is SO much fun!!!

To quote Hannah "it's amazing how quickly you can become 11 again!"
